Biography

Ms. Diana Chen — Principal, Diana Violin Studio

An award-winning violinist, Ms. Diana Chen graduated from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, in 2018 under a full scholarship. During her undergraduate years, she received several accolades, including 3rd Prize in the Violin Category of the 2015 Concerto Competition in Singapore and 2nd Prize at the Qingyuan International Music Festival in China.

Ms. Diana Chen has performed with a wide range of local and international productions, including Romeo and Juliet with the Stuttgart Ballet, Aida with the Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra, and major concerts with the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra. She was also part of the American Broadway Production of The Phantom of the Opera during its Singapore season at Marina Bay Sands Theatre.

In 2019, Ms. Diana Chen participated in the recording of Singapore's National Day Parade music video "Our Singapore." She was subsequently invited to perform at the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue in 2022 and 2023 — events that brought together international delegates and government leaders. In 2025, she performed with the chamber ensemble Asia Virtuosi, further extending her orchestral and collaborative work.

Beyond classical performance, Ms. Diana Chen also excels in non-traditional musical platforms — a passion that began with her leadership role in the Envie Electric Trio, a dynamic group that toured Southeast Asia and received wide recognition for its innovative performances. Drawing from her wide-ranging experience across classical, contemporary, and cross-genre performances, she believes in a music education that values diversity and imagination.
